This c. mid-19th century German sporting gun features a straight rifled left barrel and spiral rifled right barrel each in approximately 24 bore. The barrels are Damascus. The left barrel has "GUSS" in gold inlay, and the right barrel has "STAHL" in gold inlay. The solid rib has "-MANUFRE DE J.G. PUCKER A LEIPZIG." in gold inlay along with a "crown/V" and has a dovetailed German silver blade front sight and a notch rear sight with folding leaf. The breech end of the barrels and rib have dual gold bands. The left lock has "J.G. PUCKER", and the right lock has "A LEIPZIG." Both have hammer safeties and scroll engraving. Coordinating engraving extends to the mounts. There is an "S" on the standing breech. The left trigger is plain, and the right trigger is single set. The stock features a carved wolf head with glass eyes within an oak leaf and acorn surround at the forend tip, a scrolling horn trigger guard, checkered wrist, intertwined relief carved scrollwork, a checkered and carved wood patchbox lid, sling swivels, large cheekpiece, and horn buttplate.

Fine with bright gold inlays, fading original blue finish blended with mottled brown patina on the barrels, mostly faded original case colors and smooth gray patina on the balance, oxidation and pitting, and general mild overall wear. The stock is also fine and has crisp checkering and carving, small chips and insect damage spots in the horn, and light scratches and dings. The right barrel is obstructed towards the breech. Mechanically fine.
