Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with crisp rifling.
Description:

Manufactured in 1913. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration including the 7 1/2 inch barrel chambered for .45 caliber, blue finish, type of grips not listed when sent in a shipment of two to Murta Appleton & Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on March 6, 1913. Features fixed blade front and topstrap notch rear sights, lanyard loop on the butt, standard two-line Colt address and patent dates on top of the barrel with the model and caliber listed on the left, "rampant colt" on the left of the frame, along with "triangle/VP" and "3" on the left of the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of replacement period checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" logos and numbered on the interiors to different revolvers. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 90% plus bright original high polish blue finish with a minor cylinder drag line, some minor thinning on the grip straps revealing brown patina, some minor freckling, and minor handling marks. The grips are very fine with the left grip sun faded, well defined logos and checkering. Mechanically excellent.
