Manufactured in 1941, with the standard two-line address and patent date marked on top of the barrel. The left side of the slide has the standard Colt and caliber markings followed by the Rampant Colt. The left of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN", and the left of the barrel is marked "MATCH/TARGET" above and below the bullseye logo. It is fitted with Patridge blade front and adjustable notch rear sights and the very desirable checkered walnut "elephant ear" grips with Colt medallions. Includes original box and an extra set of period custom Roper target grips.

Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with some minor handling marks, and a tiny spot below the safety. Grips are very fine with some dings and scratches and slightly softened checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is fair with two absent, but included, edges of the lid. Extra grips are excellent.
