Manufactured in 1922, this pistol exhibits the late factory finish that was implemented around serial number 36000. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration, grips not listed, and shipment to California Hardware Co. in Los Angeles, California, on 8 November 1922. The two-line/two-block patent dates and address on the left side of the slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, and the caliber markings are on the right ahead of the ejector port. The trigger guard is marked "1/VP" on the left side and "48" on the right. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, a checkered casehardened spur hammer, smooth trigger, a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colts and "COLT" banners at the top, and a two-tone magazine marked "PKT/COLT/38 CAL."

Exceptionally fine, retains 95% of the original blue finish with some light edge/holster type wear and a few scattered speckles of light pitting on the top edge of the slide. The grips are very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
