Manufactured in Belgium after World War II, and unlike many Austrian Police contract pistols, within an "E" prefix serial range. Features fixed serrated blade front and notch rear sights, standard FN manufacturer's marking and Browning patent roll marked on the left of the slide, importer mark on the bottom of the grip frame, and matching serial numbers on the right side of the slide and frame, as well as the left of the barrel. The barrel, slide and frame also bear "star/M" and "lion/PV" Belgian proofs. The front strap is stamped with the Austrian police marking "LGK Sb/0733" (representing "Landes Gendarmerie Kommando, Austrian state of Slazburg/weapon number 0733"). Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with red painted interiors. Includes two magazines, both with matching Austrian Police "LGK Sb/0733" marked floor-plates. Provenance: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% slightly faded original blue finish with some minor high-point wear, some minor spotting/brown patina showing on the slide, frame, and mostly on the front grip strap, and some light handling marks. The grips are fine with some minor handling marks in the otherwise defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
