Built by noted custom gunsmith John Martz using a Walther P.38 frame, other vintage components and new-made parts, this pistol has been "stretched" in multiple dimensions to keep the distinct profile of the P.38 pistol while chambering the 45 ACP cartridge. Blade and notch sights, with "P.38" on the left side of the slide, original serial number and "eagle/359" inspection mark on the left side of the frame, "45 ACP/JVM 1" on the right and "977/c" on the underside of the locking block. Fitted with straw colored small parts, and a set of brown Bakelite grips. Two "45 Auto" marked magazines are included, marked "JVM/1" and "JVM/2" on the floorplate. Also included with a hardwood display case with green felt lining, spaces for the pistol and extra magazine, and ten rounds of ammo in a cartridge block.

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine as customized and upgraded by master gunsmith John Martz, with minor spotting overall, a few traces of blue on the interior, and minor handling marks. The grips are fine, with some minor dings. Mechanically fine. The case is fine. It does not get any better in a John Martz custom semi-automatic pistol!
