Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling and minor oxidation.
Description:

Manufactured in late 1943. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, blued barrel with "P" and "F" (Flannery) marked on the recoil lug, standard Ithaca address roll marked on the left side of the slide with "P" proof on top, checkered short trigger, magazine release, and arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, along with serrated slide catch, hammer thumb safety. The left side of the frame bears a "FJA" (Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood) inspector mark, "P", and "symbol No. 253" marked on the trigger guard for Ithaca inspector Harold Haws, as found on the in-house Ithaca inspector document on page 111 of "U.S. Military Automatic Pistol 1920-1945" by Meadows. The right side bears the U.S. property and model markings, serial number, and "4" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of Keyes Fibre Co. "star/K" marked checkered brown plastic grips and "L" marked parkerized magazine.

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% original parkerized finish with minor edge wear, brown patina showing on the grip straps and on top of the slide, light cycling wear, and minor handling marks. The grips are very fine with defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
