This is a mid-production Luger pistol that was manufactured by the Mauser factory in 1937 and is complete with its original matching numbered magazine. Features blade front and notch rear sights, "1937" dated chamber, "S/42" Mauser code on the front toggle link, drooped wing "eagle/63" proofs on the extension, barrel and magazine, and "eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension, and breech block. All visible serial numbers match including the magazine and interior of the left grip panel, with the right grip unnumbered. The lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from noted author Jan C. Still's family verifying it is from his personal collection. Provenance: The Jan Still Luger Collection

Excellent, retains 95% original blue finish with some light holster edge wear and some minor surface freckling on the grip straps. Grips are very fine with a few light handling marks, a small absent cracked section at the bottom left front corner, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
