Description:

This excellent World War II German military Berlin-Lubecker G41 semi-automatic rifle was manufactured in 1943, prior to the introduction of the G43 rifle. The G41 was one of the only production model semi-automatic rifles to use the "gas trap" system, as opposed to the gas port used on the G43, which has become the de-facto standard for gas-operated weaponry from World War II up through the modern day. The barrel has the standard blade front and tangent rear sights, the model "G.41" and "duv 43" Berlin-Lubecker manufacturer code markings on the left side of the finely machined receiver, machined metal dust cover, machined bolt carrier with a solid cocking knob, a left side mounted bolt catch, and "eagle/214" Waffenamts on various components. Fitted with a smooth laminated pistol grip stock with "eagle/WaA214" and "eagle/214" proof stamps on the right side and the matching serial number stamped on bottom of the buttstock, a resin handguard, cupped stamped steel buttplate, and a period brown leather sling. All matching visible serial numbers on the components.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus, as issued, retains 98% plus original blue finish with a few scratches concentrated mostly on the magazine housing, and otherwise minimal signs of use. The stock and handguard are also excellent plus with distinct edges, a few light handling marks, and crisp stamps. Mechanically excellent. This World War II Berlin-Lubecker G41 rifle is one of the finest we have ever offered and would be nearly impossible to improve upon!
