Manufactured from 1921 to 1944, with this example displaying exceptional exhibition quality factory relief engraving. The floral pattern engravings covers 80% of the metal surfaces, with punch dot backgrounds and gold inlaid bordering. The left side of the slide is marked "Walther's Patent Mod. 9" above the Walther banner, and the right has the Walther address marking. Commercial German "Crown/N" and British "crossed lance/B/B/5" and "crown/circle BV" proofs stamped on the right side of the frame. Fitted with a set of floral pattern relief carved grips with blued medallions. Includes an "A&F/Co" marked generic cardboard gift box.

Excellent, retaining 99% plus bright original blue finish and gold inlays with limited handling marks and crisp engravings. The grips are also excellent with detailed relief carvings. Mechanically excellent. A standout example of a factory engraved and gold inlaid Walther Model 9.
