Fixed blade front and notch rear sights, along with standard markings, "crown/N" proofs on the muzzle, frame and slide. Matching serial number hand-scribed inside the slide, which has been internally fluted. Fitted with a serrated ring hammer, 90 degree safety, checkered brown plastic "WALTHER" banner grips and unmarked flat base magazine. Included with the lot is a brown leather Albrecht Kind flap holster, which has been hand marked inside the flap to a Staff Sergeant Frederick Martin of Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 346th Infantry Regiment, 87th Infantry Division. Available records for Frederick Martin show him as born in New York in 1919 and enlisted in 1942. The 87th Division arrived in France in December of 1944, and would see action at the Battle of Fort Driant and the Battle of the Bulge, penetrating as deep as Saxony before Victory in Europe was declared.

Excellent, with 97% plus bright original high polish blue finish, showing bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The grip is excellent, with minor scuffs, and the very fine holster shows mild wear. Mechanically excellent.
