Description:

Originally the main sidearm of Poland's military, the VIS-35 was re-branded the P35(p) and pressed into service by the Germans following their invasion and occupation of Poland. This late war production example has rough machined parts with wartime phosphate finish, fixed sights, blued small parts, the one-line Radom model marking on the left of the slide, smooth backstrap, and an eliminated takedown hook. The frame, slide and barrel are matching numbered, with proofs visible on the slide and "eagle/623" stamps on the frame and barrel. Fitted with a pair of ribbed hardwood grips. Includes a "grz/1942" code, "eagle/swastika/WaA182" proofed, and "P 35 (p)" marked black leather flap holster and extra blued magazine. Provenance: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 85% plus original phosphate finish with some high-point wear, some minor spotting/brown patina showing on the frame and slide, and some mild handling wear. The grips are also very fine with a small crack in the right panel, but otherwise crisp ribbing. Mechanically excellent. The holster is also very fine.
