The Fabrique Nationale Model 1949, also referred to as the FN-49 or SAFN, was used by a number of countries in military service between 1948-1982. Originally designed by Belgian small arms designer Dieudonne Saive in 1947, who also designed the FAL, its successor. Blade front and tangent rear sights, "AL" (Armee Luxembourg) mark on top of the chamber, "(flaming bomb) 0" on the left. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, top cover, bolt, bolt carrier and stock. Fitted with a smooth hardwood stock with a steel buttplate and a green canvas sling.

Excellent, with 98% plus original black enamel finish, showing some light scratches on the metal and shallow dents in the wood. Mechanically excellent.
