Manufactured in 1978 and left "in the white" by Colt and engraved with the design created by the late Master Engraver Alvin White. The finishing and engraving were carried out by American Master Engravers Inc. exclusively for the Heritage Guild. The frame, barrel, trigger guard, and back strap are silver plated, and the hammer, trigger, cylinder, wedge, and loading arm assembly are gold plated. The engraving is all in Nimschke's style and includes the famous wolf head motif on the hammer and beautiful floral scrollwork on a punch dot background. The left side of the barrel is inscribed "L. D. Nimschke/ENGRAVER/1832 - 1904". The revolver is fitted with a raised relief carved grip with bald eagles on each side holding banners with "LIBERTY" on them. The revolver comes in a French fitted and leather bound Heritage Guild presentation case.

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original finishes with some areas of thinning in the silver and minor handling evidence. The slightly undersized grip is very fine showing light age cracking. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
