Description:

Likely one of the scale functioning models made by Karl Furr in the 1970s, though it is not maker marked. This is a 1/3 scale functional copy of the Colt/Gatling Police Model 1893. An evolution of Richard Gatling's original 1862 design, the 1893 Gatling integrates a full brass housing from the barrel group, which protects the mechanism from debris, sea spray, and other hazards, as well as the Accles pattern magazine, a donut-shaped drum with on-board drive rotor, which allows for higher and more consistent rates of fire than the gravity-fed magazines of earlier models. The top of the body bears a nearly exact replication of the original Colt/Gatling markings. The gun is installed on a folding brass tripod. Matching exterior numbers are present throughout. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall, showing a fine aged color on most of the brass with minor handling evidence and crisp markings. Mechanically excellent.
