Bore Condition: The bore is partially dark and has patches of oxidation/pitting and distinct rifling.
Description:

Manufactured c. 1870s-1890s. Features highly attractive foliate scroll engraving on the frame and cylinder, a rounded blade front sight, "*/M" inspection mark on the right of the barrel at the breech, a "crown/[?]B" mark on the front of the frame, a round "crown/PF" mark on the left of the frame (likely Pirlot Freres or Pirlot & Fresart), "BRITISH/BULL-DOG" and groove rear sight on the top strap, "4" along with "*/M" and the pre-1893 oval Liege proof on the rear of the cylinder, "43" marked on the toe, checkered hard rubber grips, and "COB" followed by a "4" and "M" on the front strap under the left grip. The revolver comes in a fitted oak case with a W. Richards of Liverpool trade label, oiler, cleaning rod, and key. Provenance: The Cam & Deb Cooper Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus original nickel plating remaining, crisp engraving, and mild overall wear including some oxidation. The grips are also very fine and have crisp checkering and minor wear. Mechanically fine. The case is very good with mild storage wear.
