Bore Condition: The bore is mostly shiny with crisp rifling, light copper streaking, and some minor buildup.
Description:

Manufactured in 1943. Features fixed sights, a blued barrel marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the left side with "P" on the recoil lug, two-line Colt patent dates and address surrounding a Rampant Colt on the left of the slide, "P" on top of the slide, matching "874/893" serial number stamped behind the firing pin stop, along with a checkered thumb safety, slide catch, wide spur hammer, short milled trigger, and arched mainspring housing. The left of the frame bears a "G.H.D." (Brig. Gen. Guy H. Drewry) inspector mark and a "P" stamp, along with the U.S. property marking, serial number, model designation, and a "ordnance wheel" acceptance stamp on the right side. The left of the trigger guard is stamped with "P" over "triangle/VP", along with "74" stamped on the right side. Fitted with a pair of brown checkered plastic "Coltwood" grips and an unmarked full-blue magazine. Provenance: The Collection of Ken Gibilisco

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% original parkerized finish and 95% plus original blue finish on the barrel with some minor cycling wear, some minor edge wear, some minor thinning on the grip straps with some brown patina, a few minor patches of pitting, and some minor handling marks. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
