Description:

Adopted in 1943 and manufactured exclusively by Remington Arms Inc., the M1903A4 was the standard sniper rifle of the U.S. Army during World War II, and saw continued service through Korea and even into the early days of Vietnam. The iron sights are properly absent as standard on these sniper variants, with an "RA/(flaming bomb)/7-43" marked Remington barrel, "R" marked parkerized bolt with correct turned and contoured handle, and the proper offset manufacturer, model and serial number markings on the receiver ring. Smooth pistol grip stock with faint but legible "RA" (Remington Arms) and boxed "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) inspection stamps surrounding a crossed ordnance cannons stamp on the left wrist, "RRA" rebuild stamp on the right wrist, and a parkerized checkered steel buttplate. The blue finished M82 scope is roll-stamped "TELESCOPE M82" above the serial number and stock number, and is mounted on a parkerized Redfield scope base. Includes "1944" dated MILSCO M1907 brown leather sling (has a reattached separated section).

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 98% arsenal refurbished parkerized finish and 85% blue finish on the trigger housing. The arsenal re-oiled stock is fine with some scattered light dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very fine, retains 85% original blue finish on the tube with some scattered patches of light corrosion, and crisp clear optics.
