Built without sights on the blued barrel which is signed "J. Roberts & Son London" along with 2001 dated London proof marks on the right of the chamber area and an import mark ahead of the forend. The barrel is fitted to the blued action which has "CAL .270 WIN" and "MADE IN/ENGLAND" marked on the left and right of the front receiver ring, original FN marking on the left, gold inlaid "S" safety indicator on the bolt sleeve, and a set of 30mm rings. The bottom metal has an inside-the-bow release and is also blued with gold serial number on the triggerguard and gold "CAL/.270/WIN" on the floorplate. The rifle is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with sling swivel studs, blued steel grip cap, blank silver inscription oval, and rubber recoil pad.

Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue finish with minor handling evidence, some dried grease, tiny freckles of spotting on the floorplate, some loss of straw color on the bolt release, small scratches mainly on the left side of the stock, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
