The barrel is fitted to the casehardened Heeren falling block action which was developed by Arturo Count Heeren and Nagel & Menz and patented in 1881. The action displays attractive scroll engraving and a matted receiver bridge and has a safety lever on the right. The rifle is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered full length forend with horn tip and sling swivel as well as a pistol grip stock with rear sling swivel and rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 13 11/16 inches. Weight 6 lbs. 11 oz.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 98% original blue finish, strong traces of original case colors with the balance a handsome silver, and some dried grease. There is a chip from the forend tip and the recoil pad is deteriorating; otherwise, the wood is also very fine with a few marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope optics slightly hazy.
