Variation 1 Sauer 38H pistol with high polish blue finish and "eagle/swastika C" police acceptance stamp on the left trigger guard web. The slide is marked: "J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL/ CAL. 7,65" in two lines on the left side and "PATENT" on the right. The serial number and a "eagle/N" proof mark are located on the right side of the frame behind the grips. A second "eagle/N" proof mark is stamped on the right rear of the slide above the serrations. Grips are checkered black plastic with the Sauer monogram on the left grip. The magazine in the pistol is blued with an engraved Sauer monogram and "CAL. 7.65" on the floorplate. With a black leather flap holster numbered to gun, marked "OTTO SINDEL/ BERLIN/ 1943" under the flap, signed "W.R.Engelland/ Co.A- 114th INF. 001 W" inside the flap, and includes an extra magazine with raised Sauer monogram on the floorplate.

Excellent plus, with approximately 98-99% original military blue, minor edge and high spot wear, and light handling marks. The grips are excellent, with sharp checkering. Excellent action. Holster is fine, with some cracking and fading.
