Unaltered. Barrel address "COLT'S PT F.A.MFG.CO. HARTFORD CT.U.S.A. / PATENTED AUG. 5TH 1884 NOVEMBER 6TH 1888." Blade front sight with notch rear sight. Smooth walnut grips and the butt is marked "USN/ (ANCHOR)/ 38DA/ No/ 654/ P/ WWK/ 1889". 436 on cylinder, latch and crane. Smooth two piece grips.

Good. The barrel retains an overall brown finish with the remaining metal having a smooth brownish patina. The grips are reoiled with a couple of minor gouges on the upper left panel and overall scattered minor dings and dents. All markings are clear. The action is fine. These unaltered Colt US Navy DA revolvers are seldom encountered in any condition as most of the production was modified to the later pattern M1892 style configuration.
