Description:

The only markings on this prototype revolver are the serial numbers in pencil inside the grips. This revolver shows several variations from the later production. There is no provision for the ejector rod either on the barrel or cylinder pin. The front sight is a dovetail blade, and the cylinder stops are round instead of rectangular. The muzzle is crowned.

Rating Definition:

Fine with half of the blue on the barrel, strong patches of bright blue on the frame, and strong traces of casehardening pattern on the hammer. The grips retain almost all of their varnish. Mechanically good.
