This is a transition model 70 made in 1946 with a clover leaf tang & early safety. The original factory barrel has a ramp front sight, folding leaf rear, high polished blue. Marked on the left side "30 govt. 06". Satin blue finished action with half inch groove scope bases. Triple-x-Fancy claro walnut with nice grain color and fiddleback pattern. Has a shadow-line cheekpiece. Ebony Fleur De Lis inlays. Fine line checkering, skeleton steel butt plate & grip cap with fine-line wood checkering. Custom sling swivel studs in ebony inlays. Stock work by master stockmaker "Al Lofgren".
