This is a early production rifle manufactured in the late 1970s by Fabrique Nationale, Herstal Belgium. Very few imported to the United States. This model was FNs answer to lagging sales of the FNFAL rifles in 7.62 NATO, since most countries were converting to the 5.56mm cartridge. These rifles used a blow back operated mechanism with a rotating bolt head similar to the M16. It has the two position flip rear sight calibrated to 400 meters, a post front sight with a built in grenade launcher sight, the original flash hider, side mounted sling swivels and a fixed synthetic stock with a black plastic buttplate. It was designed to use the M16 series of magazine and comes in a box with three 30-round magazines, bayonet, bipod, sling, blank firing adaptor, a folding metal tube stock, and tools. Banned from future import.

Like new, with a few minor handling marks overall. The action is excellent.
