Introduced in 1950 and built on the J frame, this revolver has the standard barrel and frame markings, 5 round cylinder, casehardened hammer and trigger and checkered grips with S&W medallions. Complete in the original two piece red box hand numbered on the bottom to the gun and has the correct end label.

Excellent with 95% of the original finish remaining. Wear is limited to the muzzle and high edges and there is some thinning on the cylinder. The grips are excellent with a few light dings and wear at the rear. The box is good with some heavy edge wear and the label affixed to the inside of the lid is missing.
