Prior to the model designation change in 1957 this model was also known as the .45 Target Model of 1955. It features a Patridge front sight and adjustable rear target sight. The right side of the barrel is marked "45 CAL. MODEL 1955", standard markings on the right side of the frame, casehardened target trigger and hammer with checkered walnut target stocks with S&W medallions. Complete with original blue box numbered to gun, cleaning rod, screwdriver and papers. Manufactured approximately 1964-65.

Like new in box, with a small bright spot on the right side of the muzzle and a few minor handling marks, sharp checkering, and superb action. The box is very good, with some light edge wear, dents, and discoloration.
