This was a popular revolver in the Colt line and was manufactured from 1927 to 1969. This revolver was manufactured in 1954 and has the one line address marked on the right side of the barrel, "OFFICAL POLICE / .38 SPECIAL CTG." on the left side, the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame, "VP" proof on the left side front of the trigger guard and a "T" at the rear. Replacement, ill-fitting plastic checkered grips with Colt medallions at the tops.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% of the original finish with some wear and light scratches on the muzzle, thinning on the butt and light spotting on the trigger guard, and front sight. The grips are excellent, with exception noted above, with a couple of minor scratches and two small dents on the bottom of the right panel. All markings are crisp. The action is tight.

Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame, Colt "VP" proof on the left side front of the trigger guard and "C" at the rear. Front blade sight and square notch rear sight and replacement checkered walnut grips.

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus of the original high polished Colt blue finish with some light spotting on the underside of the barrel and trigger guard. The grips are excellent with only slight handling marks.
