Barrel: 8 inch solid rib
Finish: nickel
Grip: walnut

Description:

No makers marks are visible on this revolver, which is scroll, leaf and punch dot engraved on much of the surface, and mechanically similar to the Number 3, with the following exceptions; the cylinder catch is disconnected from the barrel latch and fixed in place, the extractor ring is turned to block the chambers, and a brass block has been installed 3/4" of an inch into the barrel. Blade and notch sights, smooth trigger, checkered hammer, smooth walnut grips and a hole on the butt for a lanyard swivel.

Rating Definition:

Very good as altered, with 98% of the nickel finish. A scratch is visible on the left side of the barrel, possibly an engraver's error, and some light dings and handling marks overall. Grips are very good, slightly undersized with minor pressure dents. Action needs adjustment, and given the mechanical changes mentioned above, this revolver would be best suited for display purposes.
