Description:

Manufactured between 1896 and 1933. Brass blade front and open rear sights on a part octagonal barrel marked" J. STEVENS A. & T. CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A PAT. APR. 17. 94." on the top flat and "22.L.R." on the left flat. Straight grip walnut stock with Schnabel forearm and crescent steel buttplate. Matching serial number on lower tang and barrel.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel exhibits strong traces of original blue finish mixed with a smooth silver brown patina and the frame and loading lever exhibit a smooth silver-brown patina. There is some pin prick pitting mostly concentrated on the buttplate that exhibits a smooth dark patina. The freshened stock is very good with some minor dings, dents, and scratches, a few minor gouges and some moderate notches on top of the buttstock
