Manufactured in 1927. Fixed blade front sight and notch rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked " COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." and "45 COLT" on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two line, three patent date marking followed by the Rampant Colt. The frame and hammer are casehardened, while the remainder is blue. The serial number is marked on the front of the frame and on the right side of the front and back straps under grip. The partial serial number "30" is marked on the rear face of the cylinder and the full serial number is scratched into the inside of each grip. All numbers match. The Colt "VP" triangle is marked on the left, upper, and front of the trigger guard. The grips are black checkered with the encircled Rampant Colt at the tops. Complete with the original hinged lid maroon cardboard box with blue and white end label and serial number faintly in pencil on bottom.

Rating Definition:

Near mint. The revolver retains 99% of the original blue finish with some light wear on the left side of the muzzle. There are a few overall scattered minor scratches and dings. There is a very faint drag line on the professionally refinished cylinder. The frame and hammer also retain 99% of the vivid casehardening colors with slight fading on the recoil shield and top strap. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering and only a couple of very minor dings on the right panel. All markings are crisp. Mechanically sound. The box is very good with a small portion of the end label missing as well as a couple pieces of the box. The bottom front seam and the top rear seam are broken. The interior labels are nearly all present. An exceptional Pre-War Colt Single Action Army in its original box.
