OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Manufactured in 1886. Marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT U.S.A." on top of the smooth concave rib on the Damascus barrels, and "PATENTED/AUG. 22, 1882 SEPT. 19, 1883" in script lettering on the bottom of the light border engraved receiver. A checkered forearm with ebony insert and checkered round knob pistol grip stock with checkered hard rubber Colt buttplate.

Good with only traces of the finish remaining in protected areas with a light brown patina. There are a couple minor dings in the rib and the mid bead sight is missing. The stock and forearm are good, the checkering is worn smooth but is evident, minor pressure dents and handling marks on the stock, the German silver initial plate in the bottom is missing and there is a tiny chip in the toe of the buttplate.
