Single brass bead front sight on a smooth concave rib marked "JOHNSON SWAFFHAM", Damascus barrels, full chokes. The lower receiver, sideplates, hammer and swivel lever have been engraved with a nicely executed tight spiral and scroll pattern with a solid border. Also the upper and lower tang have been engraved as well as a simple border on the breech end of the barrel. The locks are both marked "JOHNSON" and surrounded by the engraving pattern. Double triggers, double hammers. Two piece skip line checkered straight grip stock and forend. Checkered naked butt with heel/toe plates decorated with simple, but elegant scroll work.

Very fine. The barrel shows a handsome Damascus pattern exhibiting only minor handling marks and scuffs. The lower casehardened receiver has aged to a pleasant dark, almost frosted patina and the side plates are both an even gray smooth patina. The wood is very good and displays some overall pressure marks and scuffs. The checkering is crisp.
