Heinrich Pieper (Henri, Henry) was born in Germany but worked most of his life in Belgium where he established a company that continued long after his death in 1907. Brass blade front and notch rear sights on a solid rib marked "H. PIEPER LIEGE PATENT 23 APRIL 1893". Features a 2 1/4 inch chamber , choked improved cylinder 12 gauge shotgun barrel and 11 mm rifle barrel with extractors. The casehardened frame is marked "H. PIEPER. BE" on both sides and a Liege "ELG" proof on the underside of the rifle barrel. Checkered forearm with contrasting wood insert and round knob pistol grip stock with a "crown / RR" proof stamped on the underside of the buttstock, double triggers and H. Pieper hard rubber buttplate.

Very good with the barrels retaining approximately 90% of a very early refinish mixed with some light surface rust and a few minor scratches. The frame retains slight traces of case color in the protected areas mixed with a dark mottled patina. The wood is very good with some minor nicks, dents and scratches, some light spotting and a few dots of white paint. The checkering is sharp. The markings are clear.
