Description:

Two 71" x 12" signs with one sign having the additional "INCORPORATED" marking. See images. The Railway Express Agency was originally founded by the U.S. government as the American Railway Express Co. in 1918, when several major express carriers merged into a public corporation. An association of railroads bought out the business in 1929 and began to operate it as the Railway Express Agency.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good. There are large chips near four mounting holes, exposing metal. Otherwise, some minor chips, some minor scratches and a few minor scuff marks. The colors have faded, especially the red. The bottom right corner is bent. 2) Very fine. There are large chips near three mounting holes, exposing metal. Otherwise, some minor chips near the edges and some minor scratches.
