Manufactured somewhere between 1908 and 1926. This shotgun features two bead sights on a solid matte rib, jeweled barrel flat, gold washed double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. Choked full/full, 2 3/4" chambers with ejectors. Both barrels have a 1 1/2 inch wedge of a floral scroll engraving and "ITHACA GUN CO." on the right and "ITHACA, N.Y. U.S.A." on the left. The casehardened box lock action features a floral scroll engraving and gold inlays: two flying ducks and a cattail on the left, pheasants on the right and an eagle on the underside ("MADE IN / U.S.A." in two banners is engraved above the eagle). The scrollwork continues on the blued trigger guard with a gold inlay stag head. Mounted with a nicely figured straight grip stock, checkered with a Fleur de Lis designs, gold initial shield with monogram and a vented White line recoil pad. The checkered splinter forearm features an engraved release button, a smaller engraved medallion above the button and an ebony insert on the forend tip. Length of pull is approximately 13 7/8".

Very fine as partially refinished. The barrels retain approximately 75% of the faded original blue finish. The trigger guard has strong traces of blue, otherwise has turned to a gray patina. The frame retains about half of the dark case colors strongest on the water table, around the triggers and under the break lever, mixed with a gray patina. The revarnished wood has some scattered mild dings and scratches. The checkering is recut. Mechanically excellent.
