Manufactured somewhere between 1908 and 1926 this shotgun features a two beads sight system, the front ivory with a brass cap and an ivory rear, on a solid matte rib, 2 3/4" chambers, jeweled flat, ejectors, double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. The left barrel is marked "KRUPP FLUID STEEL" and the right is marked "ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA N.Y." The breech and fences are engraved with an oak leaf and acorn floral pattern. The casehardened action is engraved with two gold inlaid ducks in flight with two gold inlay cat-tails in a marsh scene on the left and two gold inlay pheasants in a field scene on the right marked with an oak leaf and acorn floral engraving on both sides and the bottom with the bottom featuring an eagle with a shield and grasping arrows and an olive branch with "MADE IN / U.S.A." on two banners just above the eagle's head. The blue finished trigger guard holds a gold inlay stag's head. Mounted with a nicely figured pistol grip stock, checkered with a Fleur-de-Lis designs, hard rubber grip cap, gold initial shield that has been engraved with the name "John / Siggins / Jr" in script, and a serrated black plastic buttplate. The checkered splinter forearm features an engraved release button, a smaller engraved medallion above the button and an ebony insert on the forend. Length of pull 12 5/8", drop at comb 2", drop at heel 3 3/8".

Fine. The barrel retains approximately 90-95% of the faded original blue refinish with some light scattered handling marks over all and some minor scattered scratches and pitting the majority of which is on the left barrel towards the breech end. The action has some traces of casecolor with the balance having aged to a smooth gray, all engraving remains crisp and clear with the left side having the lower duck in gold inlay slightly faded as is the upright pheasant on the right with all other gold inlay items bright and clear. The wood remains good with some light handling marks over all and heavy chipping to the right flat where it meets the action running the length of the edge and a large chip on the right side of the upper tang. The checkering is heavily worn on the pistol grip with some few scattered handling marks and the same is true with the forearm. Mechanically excellent.
