Casehardened box lock action with fine scroll engraved patterns and field scene of two pointers on the left side, springers on the right side and ducks in flight in a marsh scene on the bottom. Tang mounted safety, double gold washed triggers with fine checkering. The trigger guard is engraved with quail with fancy scroll border. Watertable marked "5" over "12" and serial number. Nicely figured walnut pistol grip stock with a black plastic grip cap and buttplate, gold initial shield on the bottom and Fleur-de Lis fine-line checkering. Splinter forearm with engraved push button release, an ebony inlay and fancy checkering. Pull is 14 3/4", drop at comb is 1 7/8", heel is 2 1/2".

Excellent. 97% of the blue refinish remains on the barrels with some smooth brown on the bottom rib edge towards at the muzzle end. The top rib has two small dings near the breech end. The action retains approximately 40% of the original case colors bright in protected areas and faded colors mixed with a smooth gray on the balance. The wood is excellent with a few overall scattered minor dings and handling marks. The checkering is sharp. The markings and engraving remain crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
