Built from 1905 to 1946. Single bead sight on a solid rib. Barrels feature 2 3/4" chambers, choked improved modified/modified. Top of left barrel has the two line Savage address and grade/patent markings on the water table. Casehardened frame with broad scroll engraving and "ANSLEY H. FOX" in a banner on each side. Pistol grip stock with checkered grip area and forearm, double triggers, tang safety and vented Hawkins recoil pad. In a Red Head marked hard leather takedown case with three-piece cleaning rod. The case also has a Bob Jenkinson Gunmaker, New York, label. Length of pull is approximately 13 7/8".

Very fine. The barrels retain approximately 97% of the original blue finish with a smooth brown patina at the breech and some pin prick pitting at the muzzles. The trigger guard retains approximately 60% of the blue with the balance a smooth brown patina and some minor pitting. The frame and forearm hardware retain approximately 20% of the faded case colors in the protected areas with the balance a smooth gray patina. The wood is very good with some touch-up finish and minor dings and scratches, a few mild chips and a few minor dents. The checkering is crisp. The markings and engraving are clear and crisp. The case is very good with some minor dings, scratches and scuff marks. The straps have some minor age cracking. The stitching is tight.
