Similar in design to the pocket box lock flintlock pistol by Styan of Manchester, with safety catch operated by thumb on sliding member behind hammer, screw off barrel and folding trigger that swings out when the hammer is cocked (see, for example, Ronald Lister's ANTIQUE FIREARMS: THEIR CARE, REPAIR & RESTORATION", pages 50-61, 76). The underside of the barrel has a lug for a forward mounting vertical pistol grip. The iron pistol grip is included. Number 1 on barrel and frame along with proof markings. The frame is engraved and there is an engraved barrel band around the muzzle. Casehardened with niter blue trigger. Checkered round butt and one-piece grip.

Fine, showing strong amounts of original case colors strongest at the breech, otherwise has a smooth brown patina. There is some minor spotting. The grip is excellent with some minor dings and scratches mostly near the butt. The checkering is crisp.
