Manufactured between 1870 and 1890. German silver half-moon front sight and hammer notch rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked "+COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A./ No 2+" while the underside of the barrel is marked with the serial number. The frame has some light floral scroll engraving on each side with a small sunburst in front of the hammer and a small scroll behind the hammer. With checkered hammer and spur trigger. Checkered walnut bird's head grips, hand numbered to match.

Fine, with 60% of the original nickel finish, strongest on the barrel. Frame has turned a dark gray patina with scattered pitting and scratches. Similar pitting is present on the barrel to a lesser extent, with streaks of gray patina. Grips are fine, with moderate scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically fine.
