Description:

Marked on the box as being "for the positive destruction of gophers, moles, squirrels and rats", this is an animal trap optimized for use in enclosed or subterranean spaces. A 38 caliber blank is loaded into the short barrel, which redirects the blast straight up, and the hammer is cocked, with a perforated brass plate serving as the trigger, 3 1/2" back from the muzzle. When the animal strikes the plate, the round is discharged directly and fatally into the animal's underbelly, operating on the same principle as an anti-shark "bang stick". The trigger plate, safety and barrel catch are brass, with the rest of the parts alloy in construction. Included is the original box, covered in diagrams and instructions, and an instruction sheet.

Rating Definition:

In very good condition, with some mild discoloration of the surface. The brass shows a mixed, attractive color. Needs some minor mechanical adjustment. Box is good, with some dark spots and light edge wear.
