Description:

Marked "ADDRESS SHARPS & HANKINS, PHILADELPHIA, PENN." in the flute on top of the barrel. The right side of the frame is faintly marked "C. SHARPS PATENT / JAN. 25, 1859". Made without a side plate, with the barrel group equipped with an extractor, a hammer interlock on the barrel release and rotating firing pin. Checkered hammer, smooth trigger and smooth grips with a flared butt.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% of the original blue finish, showing a bright gray patina along the high sections and some mild spotting and handling marks. Frame is silvering out, with 30% original bright colors visible in the low and protected areas and a brown patina on the grip straps. Grips are fine, with some varnish loss and tiny chips. Mechanically very good.
