Description:

Five round fluted barrel cluster marked in the flutes "ALLEN & THURBER & CO / WORCESTER / PATENTED / 1845". The serial number is marked on the barrel between the nipples and on the left side of the frame and hammer spring under the grip panel. Iron frame with broad scroll engraving and integral nipple shield and fitted with ivory grips.

Rating Definition:

Good. The metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina and scattered traces of the original finish. The nipples are all very good and appear original to the pistol. The grips are slightly undersized and are otherwise fine with a few hairline age cracks, and are aging to a mellow light caramel. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The action is very good.
