Description:

Manufactured from the late 1840s to the 1850s, only a few hundred made. The barrel is marked on the left flat "ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER / CAST-STEEL". Replacement ramrod, brass blade front sight, rear sight mounted near the breech and extending back behind the hammer where it engages the adjustment screw. Spur trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with a silver gray patina with a speckled plum brown, heavier smooth patina around the hammer and nipple. Grips show most of the varnish with minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
