Description:

1) First Model Luftwaffe Dagger, adopted in 1934/ 1935. 12 inch blade, with Weyersberg (Solingen) makers mark. Silver finished brass pommel and guard with sun wheel swastikas and wire wrapped leather grip. One side of the guard is marked "Fl.S.Perl.17". Leather wrapped sheath with nickel fittings and chain belt hanger. 2) Second Model Naval dagger, Eickhorn production, with a 9 3/4" double fuller blade with etched decoration. Brass dual quillion guard with fouled anchor designs and spring loaded retainer, wire wrapped celluloid grip, Nazi eagle pommel, and gold portapee with matching solid acorn. Gilt finished brass sheath with light engraving and a pair of hanging rings.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good, with some light wear and sharpening marks on the blade, dark silver, well aged brass and mildly worn leather on the grip. Sheath is good, with exception of sections of leather absent, rust in the exposed areas, and flaking of the fittings. 2) Very fine, with some spotting on the blade, fine aged brass, cracked grip, mild portapee wear and protected traces of the original gold.
