Description:

This pistol has the standard commercial markings of the "Crown/U" proof on the left side of the barrel extension. The top of the barrel is marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N" and it the original front and rear tangent sight that is graduated from 50-500 meters. The rear of the hammer is marked "NS" and it has the standard grips stamped with a red "9". Complete with the matching numbered combination wooden shoulder/holster stock. The leather holster is dated 1917 and the original rod is included.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains approximately 95-97% of the original blue finish with the balance showing a brown patina. There is some high edge wear, as well as some scattered surface pitting on the ejector and the rear sight. All markings are clear and crisp. The wood is excellent with a few overall handling marks and a chip on the left grip forward of the number 9 which still holds some of the original red paint. Mechanically excellent. The wooden stock fits well to the backstrap and has a solid feel. The leather rig holster is very good with some wear and minor cracks. The forward belt loop is torn and has some "popped" stitches.
