This is an example of a mid WWII production rifle manufactured by the Berlin-Lubecker manufacturing company. The left side of the rough forged receiver is marked with the "serial number/G43/duv44" markings. It has the type two rough cast bolt carrier with the bolt latch on the right side and the cocking knob on the left, with the reinforcing web on top, with the sheet metal bolt cover. This model still retains the scope mounting rail on the right side and it is fitted with a G43 scope mount with a Russian PU Sniper scope. The rear of the mount is marked with a small "Eagle 214" Waffenamt proof next to a serial number (1628). The scope is a WWII German ZF4 model that is marked on the side "Gw ZF4/dow/ 38585". It is fitted with a laminated wood stock and handguard. The right side of the stock has the double Waffenamt Eagle 214 proof with a small Eagle proof in the pistol grip. It is complete with one black painted "aye" marked K43 magazine and an original unmarked leather sling.

Very good with 75% of the wartime finish remaining, with wear on top of the bolt cover the edges and high spots overall and some thinning on the exposed section of the barrel. The trigger guard assembly is browning out overall. The scope mount has been cleaned and black painted and retains 95% of the paint and the scope has 75% of the late war finish and the optics are cloudy and need a cleaning. The stock has been lightly sanded. There is a 4 1/2 inch separated crack below the scope rail area that runs from behind the receiver propagating forward. It is also missing the buttplate screws. Still overall a nice mid-WWII production G43 rifle.
