Description:

Produced until 1938, when the second model was introduced. 9 7/8" double fuller blade with E & F Horster makers mark on the ricasso and etched designs on either side with a fouled anchor and ship at sea. Gilt finished brass hilt fittings, with retention clip in the crossguard, wire wrapped cream colored celluloid grip, and early style flaming ball pommel. With a gilt finished sheath, hammered surface with oak leaf suspenders and a pair of hanging rings.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The blade shows some light wear and spotting, with hints of aged brass on the hilt and some faint handling marks on the grip. Sheath is good, with mixed colors. A very attractive original Navy dagger!
