Description:

This is an excellent example of a late WWII K43 rifle as made by the Walther factory. It has been fitted with a post-war reproduction mount that has a post-war Czech issue ZF4 scope. The rifle has the all rough forged receiver and bolt carrier, and the left side is marked with a small "Eagle 359 Waffenamt/K. 43/ac 45 (stacked)/ serial number". It has the type two bolt carrier with the bolt handle on the left side and the locking mechanism on the right side. It has the stamped action cover with the sliding dust cover on top. This rifle has been fitted with a reproduction mount that is marked with an Eagle over 649 with a serial number engraved on the rear portion of the mount. The locking lever is correctly marked "fest" and "lose". The scope is a correct post-war production Czech ZF4 model that is marked on top with the Standing Czech Lion proofmark, their factory proof/4x/ and the serial number 1454. The rifle is fitted with the correct laminated stock and handguard and the left side is stamped with a faint "Eagle 359" Waffenamt with the cupped buttplate with the storage compartment that holds a K98 oiler in it. It is complete with the original front sight hood, a cleaning rod and one K43 magazine marked "aye".

Rating Definition:

Arsenal refurbished overall with 99% of an old factory/arsenal dipped blued type of finish on all the metal parts except for the bolt which is still in the white. The stock and handguard are excellent overall with a nice matching honey colored finish on both pieces, with minimal handling marks and no cracks or damage. The scope mount has a gray tint to the metal and the scope has 50% of the blued finish remaining with nice clear optics. The mount needs some minor adjustment as it won't latch in place.
